Following for Colonial Office from Sedgwick.

Am I to understand that widows of pensionable officers dying after 30th September are to receive (1) arrears of pay up to 30th September (2) lump sum and reduced ad hoc allow- ance which deceased might have drawn up to date of death, (3) gratuity of one year's pensionable emolument. (3) only payable in cases where deceased though pensionable, is not eligible for ad hoc allowance.
